About

I have decided that I have a lot of things to talk about and no one to tell them to, so welcome to one of so many blogs about being a mama and motherhood with some DIY and fun home projects too!  Let me introduce myself first (I don't want to be rude)!

I am a married mama of two humans and one cat.  My husband is not famous, in a band, or one to wear skinny jeans.  He still wears polos from the 90's.  He's a guy.  He runs a hardware store.  We watch a lot of sports.  He does have facial hair though, so I'll leave that up to you to judge.  Our kids are kids.  My daughter won't pose for pictures or wear things on her head (pigtails only!) and goes a mile a minute before crashing.  She loves to go outside and get dirty.  This does not happen in miraculously thrifted vintage dresses that I will never find at my local salvation army, or tiny expensive moccasins that are so cute I want a pair for myself.  Her babbling makes my day and her favorite words are "egg" and "clock".  She will repeat them whenever she sees them.  My son will pose for pictures but is currently in the super drooling phase of babyhood, so try capturing his sweet smile while his onesie is covered in spit…yeah.  He wants to do everything his sister can, if he could only get those legs moving.  He's a big boy.  It doesn't take much to make him happy.  This would mostly be food.  Or his sister.  Our cat is crazy sometimes, but will always come to greet you.  Unless you are a small child.  Then he will run.  Like a crazy cat- and we have hardwood floors and he has no claws, so it's really more like ice skating.  Then there's me.  I had two children basically back to back, and I reeeeealy  enjoy dessert.

I am a stay-at-home mama with a bunch of "hobbies" and not a lot of free time.  So we will see how this blog thing goes.  I spend a lot of baby nap time scouring the internet for exciting home projects since I don't get out much and we have a budget, so when I have to stare at walls and rooms and yard, those projects are what I look forward to.  None of my shoes were over $50 and my husband has more clothes than me.  I color my hair from a box and use drugstore makeup.  As I said, I love dessert.  My husband loves meat.  We do not know what chia seeds are and only eat kale in that yummy Olive Garden soup.

Here's the thing…I am totally guilty of wanting all those things that I am not, and see on ALL the mama blogs, but am working on the "let's be real" part of all that.  This is my outlet to get all that off my chest since I literally have no friends and no one to talk to that doesn't babble, meow, or speak ESPN.  Cry me a river, right?  Nah.  Let's just be friends if you are like me too...
